Library, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

February is National Library Lover’s month!  I hope you love Groton Public Library… and if you do, there’s some things you can do to help!

The simplest way to help is to thank your library workers at the desk!  We always love to hear how much you appreciate the library, and we strive to make the library a place you love.

As I said in my previous blog entry, we are always looking for art displays on the wall, so if you have any ideas, share them!  We are also looking to spiff up our Children’s area, perhaps by painting the walls with scenes from children’s tales, so if you have any ideas on good artists to take care of that at reasonable prices, let us know that as well.

Perhaps you’d like to serve on the library board.  Trustees guide the library’s long term development in partnership with the Library Director.  We are currently looking for more board members, so if you are interested ask John and he can get you in contact with the right people.

You can also commit to helping us by volunteering!  While most of our volunteer needs will be in the summer with the book sale preparations, letting us know sooner rather than later that you’ll help will help us plan.  You can also, of course, always donate to the book sale.

We’re so glad that you enjoy our library, and we want to make sure you keep on enjoying it!  Always let us know what we can do to better serve you, or how you can help us better serve others!
